Hydraulic Test & Service Engineer

Our client is Global manufacturer and supplier of Hydraulic components, associated equipment and assemblies.

Due to rapid growth, they have an immediate requirement for a Hydraulic Test and Service Engineer

Participate in installation, commissioning and service projects in the UK and abroad.
Support prototype equipment trials

• Commissioning and service work at trial sites and customer premises.
• Testing on-site and at customer premises.
• Work on the development of hydraulic schematics.
• Support prototype equipment trials to increase systems reliability.
• Work closely with all personnel in the team to improve products / procedures.
• Advise on development programmes and contribute to the production of test plans and reports.
• Liaise with customers directly on specific project tasks.
• Fault diagnosis, reporting and resolution of technical issues arising from systems.
• Fault route cause analysis to support reliability growth trails.
• Liaise with Quality department to ensure standards are maintained.
• Design, develop and document test procedures and carry out first article test procedures.
• Broad engineering knowledge supported by a formal engineering qualification or a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
• Experience of hydraulic systems, installation, testing and proving.
• Experience of fault diagnosis and rectification.
• Experience of working away at customer sites.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications, including hydraulic circuits.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Logical approach to problem solving.
• Understanding of Lean principles.
• Excellent customer facing skills.
• Computer literate with excellent report writing skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willing to travel (UK and overseas).
