The company are looking for an experienced Project or Mechanical Engineer with a solid automotive background. You`ll be experienced with PPAP (inc APQP) from a TS environment and ideally from a pressings related environment; mechanical assembly design would be very advantageous.

This is a technical support type role incorporating input at design stage (CAD) through BOM and on to production and manufacture. If you are a project manager in the automotive environment who can use CAD, then this role could be perfect for you.
They work to ISO14001 also so any experience of working on the environment standards would be useful; as well as Kaizen familiarity.

Our automotive client is a market leader in luxury and high volume off-road vehicles, designing and manufacturing in the Midlands. Working in a team with a global focus, you will develop valuable knowledge of automotive parts and processes.

Focussing on a specific vehicle commodity - from Exterior to Interior, through Power Train, Chassis, and Electrical you will be responsible for delivering should cost estimates for a specific sub-set of parts, supporting the Purchase team in their negotiations with suppliers, working closely with Design Engineers as a business advisor, identifying and supporting the implementation of opportunities to reduce costs, influencing relevant programmes and commodity directions and supporting cross-functional, cross-brand and supplier charge outs.

You will need to demonstrate a range of relevant manufacturing process knowledge, together with technical awareness at both the production process and cost driver level. You will have a degree, excellent communication skills are vital, together with a proven ability to think on your feet and make appropriate decisions. Ideally, you will also have some experience of project management.

Automotive experience is not essential but is preferred.

Experienced QA Engineer required for a contract role providing a high level of QA management on a variety of projects.
The role will be responsible for collating and managing all existing quality related documentation across a small number of sites. You will need to liase with the on-site teams and project managers to ensure that the projects meet the appropriate quality standards.
