A Maintenance Manager is required for leading Steel and Alloy Processing and Production Company based close to West Bromwich. Our client supplies some of world`s leading automotive clients and has achieved QS9000 certification and TS16949/ISO14001 Accreditations. Due to continued expansion the production facility has moved t a 24/7 operation in order to manage the increased customer orders and volumes.


Currently our client is looking to recruit a Maintenance Manager reporting directly to the Plant Manager. You will be directly responsible for the Maintenance, Reliability and Improvements of the Production Facilities as well as the general Site Maintenance.
The key responsibilities for this role will be:

Achievement of individual objectives as defined in Plant Objectives Document.
Maintain production facilities in order to achieve target line efficiency.
Definition, implementation and achievement of the maintenance / improvement plan.
Management of Maintenance and Improvements engineers.
Co-ordination of production and technical staff.
Provision of training, or retraining of all production and technical staff by using internal/external support and own personal skill base. The outcome the assurance of a high level of competence.
Monitor and analyse results of line changeovers. In exceptional circumstances, provide support if requested.
Provision of reasonable telephone support for evening / weekend shifts.
Manage capital expenditure projects.
Assist in the preparation of costs and ensure these are maintained within budget.
Represent the Company and support Group meetings / projects in UK and around the world.
We are looking for a time served Electrically bias Engineer with knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Mechanical systems. Good PLC Skills, Robotic experience and a press working environment would be viewed advantageously. Coming from a Lean/Continuous Improvement Manufacturing environment you will have in-depth knowledge of both the technical aspects and capabilities of the equipment. Good man management skills and fully PC literate, you will be an effective communicator both with staff and clients alike.
