Senior Product Engineer
Halifax, West Yorkshire, England
£30k - 40k per year + 30K to 40K + Pension + Bonus
Our client is a leader in design, manufacture and support of world leading turbo chargers and associated equipment.
Due to growth plans a position of Senior Product Engineer has become available, and as such we welcome applicants who want a fresh challenge, and meet the requirements below
Specifically this will involve:
- Technical responsibility for new product introduction.
- Liaising with customers/suppliers .
- Co-ordinating engineering inputs to projects.
- Ensuring that engineering plans are accurate and updated.
- Ensuring that designs meet the project Technical Profile.
- Ensuring correct input for test priority setting. Qualified to degree or equivalent level in mechanical/automotive engineering, you should ideally be from a Mechanical/Automotive Components background and be able to demonstrate:
- Significant experience of the automotive component sector, whilst first hand knowledge of diesel engine and/or turbocharger applications would be desirable
- A proven track record in a design or product development capacity, complemented by first rate project management/engineering skills
- A good grasp and practical knowledge of materials, control systems, general engineering practices as well as being familiar with Pro Engineer software
- The ability to understand and fully appreciate the cost impact of engineering change to products and product development projects
- Ability to lead project teams.
