Our client is a leader in design, manufacture and support of world leading turbo chargers and associated equipment.
Due to growth plans a position of Applications Engineer has become available, and as such we welcome applicants who want a fresh challenge, and meet the requirements below
li>Technical liaison with customers (engine manufacturers) supporting the customer in all technical aspects of turbocharger use.
- As part of a wider Account team be responsible for the technical aspects of current and future product at a particular customer - Developing and maintaining key knowledge of customer applications and turbocharger product.
- Start and support NPI projects from concept through to production launch communicating the customers technical needs and translating them into clear requirements.
- Support resolution of field issues establish problem definition and lead the communication of technical updates with the customer.
- Be the voice of Cummins Turbo Technologies at customer / be the voice of the customer internally. Qualified to degree/HND or equivalent level in mechanical/automotive engineering, you should ideally be from a mechanical/automotive/aeronautical engineering background and be able to demonstrate:
- Knowledge of internal combustion engine fundamentals - Diesel or Gasoline (Petrol)
- Thermodynamics knowledge.
- Knowledge of rotating machinery fundamentals such as Turbochargers, Gas Turbines, Air Compressors or Pumps.
- Broad general engineering knowledge including FMEA s and DVP and R s.
- Problem solving skills FTA s, fishbone diagrams, 8D Project Management Skills
