Our client is a leader in design, manufacture and support of world leading turbo chargers and associated equipment.

Due to growth plans a position of Engineering Projects Planning Leader has become available, and as such we welcome applicants who want a fresh challenge, and meet the requirements below

  • Managing the Capacity Planning and Resource management (CPRM) process within Engineering, to generate demand for headcount, test, material and other costs by project, by department and by region.
  • Providing the above information in support of the Annual Operating Plan and project planning processes.
  • Overall Management of the monthly project cost reporting and forecasting process.
  • Developing and improving the processes to track actual spend and resource usage by individual project, by project category, by region etc. Improve the quality of reporting whilst reducing the administrative burden.
  • Improving the accuracy of the resource planning process within Engineering
  • Improving the linkage between project planning and the annual operating plan processes.
  • Link with Cummins Turbo Technologies product planning organisation in support of CPRM process
  • Link and align plans with other business units and corporate technical staff.
  • Work closely with Engineering Leaders, Finance Business Partner and HR Business Partner in performance of the above duties. Qualified to degree or equivalent level in Mechanical Engineering or a Business related subject, you should have previous experience in a manufacturing environment and be able to demonstrate:
  • Significant experience in project planning, tracking and reporting.
  • Experience from within an Engineering environment would be desirable in order to understand the product range, lines and plans.
  • Experience of managing and monitoring engineering project budgets.
  • Proven experience in process developments / process improvement
  • Proven experience in leading teams, particularly through change in order to gain buy in to the projects.
  • Advanced ability to work with and manipulate complex spreadsheets or financial models.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are essential as you will be required to liaise with colleagues and peers based globally.
