Senior CAD Engineer - BT 236
West Midlands, England
Our client is one of the world`s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers. Established for more than 60 years its product line-up has, more recently, moved into the design and manufacture of passenger cars, including electric vehicles.
Reporting to Chief Engineer - B/W closures
Responsible for feasibility and detail layout design (3D Modelling) engineering of B/W components
Release parts into the systems
Work with Production Suppliers to resolve build issues and create new design solutions
Performing DMU checks using Catia
All design work carried out on Catia V5 release 19
Degree qualified or similar qualification
Strong numeracy and literacy
Minimum of 5 years automotive experience is essential
Good logical reasoning
Capable of leading a project element with support
Demonstrates depth of knowledge in a relevant technical speciality
Working towards or achieved chartered status
Some travel to local suppliers and Norway may be required.
