Our client is a leader in design, manufacture and support of world leading turbo chargers and associated equipment.

Due to growth plans a position of Engineer Aerodynamics has become available, and as such we welcome applicants who want a fresh challenge, and meet the requirements below

As a Lead Engineer - Aerodynamics, you ll be a key member of a dedicated unit engaged in designing products for improved efficiency.
Specifically this will involve:

  • Using new techniques to assist in the aerodynamic and mechanical design of the air handling components of turbochargers to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Working closely with relevant universities and consultancies.
  • Supporting the development of new design and analysis techniques and use of analysis and design tools.
  • Developing technical specifications from customer performance and manufacturing and mechanical requirements.
  • Interacting at all levels of the company as part of the Air Handling team. We are seeking to fill two positions, one ideally at MSc qualified level, and one at PhD. You should ideally be from a mechanical/automotive engineering background and be able to demonstrate:
  • Knowledge of thermodynamics, aerodynamics and general engineering concepts.
  • Experience in engine air handling, turbocharging, supercharging or similar fields.
  • Familiarity with Finite Element and Computational Fluid Dynamics packages desirable.
  • Strong product design and testing experience.
  • An ability to develop positive relationships both within and outside of our organisation.
