A Senior Design Engineer is required to develop concepts and detailed drawings for components used in developing a low cost CR pump for the automotive market, based on a current design.
The successful candidate will be involved in the conceptual phase and will be responsible for design content on components in conjunction with the Technical Lead Designer for that pump.
This position is for a World leader in the innovation, design and manufacture of Diesel Fuel Injection equipment.
The successful applicant will also be responsible FEA analysis and other modelling, either directly or through the utilisation of other department or organization resources.
The position will report to Engineering Manager and take day to day direction from the Technical Lead Design engineer, Program Manager or Engineering Manager as appropriate.

Responsibilities include:
- Design and detail components for developing a low cost CR diesel fuel pump for the automotive market.
- Lead FEA and other numerical analysis tools for the design and optimisation of the product.
- Conduct competitive analysis and bench marking of competitor's components for function and cost.
- Support Design and analysis work allocation, scheduling, expediting and reporting with Technical lead engineer
- Apply ICIM methods using DOE's, 6 Sigma, Green Y and other statistical tools to achieve design robustness. (Training will be provided to fill current gaps in experience level)
- Assure GDandT and other drafting standards are applied to new component drawings.
- Recommend design changes that assure the program meets cost, DFM, performance and timing goals.
- Drive appropriate balance of product performance and cost with input from Technical Lead Designer.
- Liaise with suppliers and DDS functions to achieve best design for manufacture, robust design and flawless launch objectives.
- Be positive, encourage, and share knowledge with all CR pump cross-functional team members.
- Participate in Program Project reviews and design reviews as required.
- Develop and present technical presentations to Delphi customers and others on new or current pump programs

Manage sub teams and take Technical Lead responsibilities during periods where the Technical Lead Engineer is absent.

The Senior Design Engineer will hold an engineering degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.

Must be innovative and visionary in developing design options with a good understanding and application of physics to the design
Solid Works experience including FEA analysis. Experience in design and/or development engineering to a level of autonomous working.

Must be willing and able to travel for training and/ or for workshops or customer interaction

A world leader in the innovation, design and manufacture of Diesel Fuel Injection equipment are now looking for a DFP Pump Project Manager to work on a permanent or contract basis to be accountable for the overall project management of multi projects involving cross functional teams responsible for the development and industrialisation of common rail pumps.

The Project Manager will report to the Diesel Program Management Director.
Main duties wfor the Project Manager will be drawn from the following:


Overall responsibility to deliver flawless project launches to meet the committed objectives and flawless launch metrics

Ownership of the projects from kick off to product launch in the plant, using the companies processes to assure the project meets both customer and business objectives for cost, quality, delivery and performance.

Develop project plans (project scope, timelines, cost, resources, risk, quality, communications and procurement) then lead and deploy overall project timing to the team.

Coordinate the cross functional teams to develop and implement plans to fit within timelines and key dates.

Conduct regular project team meetings and ensure teams are accountable for their deliverables and timelines, and manage risk escalation and resolution.

Lead and apply PDP process, PDP Gate reviews and support Engineering to run PDP Design reviews.

Support divisional initiative for tracking flawless launch of all new product programs

Prepare minutes/action plans following meetings to ensure all parties are appraised of progress at all times

Ideally the Project Manager will be fluent in German, speaking, reading and writing.

Must have excellent organisational skills, be an organised and disciplined team player who pays attention to detail.


Travel will be required to ensure customer meetings are supported and key deliverables/launches at the plant are prepared for. Therefore the successful applicant must be willing and able to travel at short notice.

As the Design Engineer you will develop concepts and detailed drawings for components used in developing a low cost CR pump for the automotive market based on a current design.

Therefore they will be involved in the conceptual phase and will be responsible for design content on components for the pump in conjunction with the Lead Designer for that pump.

The Design Engineer will also be responsible for FEA analysis and other modelling either directly or through the utilisation of other department or organisation resources.

Design and detailing of components for developing a low cost CR diesel fuel pump for the automotive market.

Apply FEA and other numerical analysis tools for the design and optimisation of the product.

Conduct competitive analysis and bench marking of competitors components for function and cost.

Conduct analysis of other leverage product areas for new ideas to advance the art in pumps (new stretch ideas)

Apply ICIM methods using DOE s, 6 Sigma, Green Y and other statistical tools to achieve design robustness. (Training will be provided to fill current gaps in experience level)

Assure GDandT and other drafting standards are applied to new component drawings.

Recommend design changes that assure the program meets cost, DFM, performance and timing goals.

Drive appropriate balancing of product performance and cost requirements with input from Lead Designer.
The Design Engineer will hold an engineering degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent with Solidworks experience including FEA analysis.

Experience of HP pump and/or fuel systems is required along with proven experience in design and/or development engineering.

Must understand and apply physics to the design.

They are now looking for a Validation Manager to work on either a permanent or contract basis to lead a team of validation engineers responsible for ensuring that medium duty diesel fuel injection systems released for production meet their reliability and durability objectives.

As the Validation Manager responsibility encompasses all FIE and related components to be delivered to MD customers by DDS including common rail systems and mechanical pumps and injectors.

The individual will be required to define the project system validation requirements and the validation requirements for specific products, ensuring that the agreed validation plans are executed and reported in a timely manner. In addition the customer validation activities must be monitored and recorded.


The position requires a methodical individual with attributes in planning, analytical techniques, documentation and communication skills.
The position will directly report to the Medium Duty System team manager.
As the Validation Manager you will hold an engineering degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent in physics with solid experience in development engineering or equivalent area.

Our client is a leading independent provider of product engineering, research, testing information and certification to the worldwide automotive industry and is based in Warwickshire.

They currently have an ongoing contract opportunity for an Engineer, to support the growth of the Electrical Vehicles (EV\HEV) department.

The role will be split between sites in Warwickshire and Basildon, so regular travel will be necessary.

Reporting to the Principal Engineer, the individual will be responsible for:

* Providing technical and engineering know how, to successfully deliver projects on behalf of the department.
* Providing engineering support to EV and battery test department at site in Basildon
* Contributing to new project proposals
* Providing technical support to other team members

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

* Electrical / Electronic Degree (may accept Mechatronics or Automotive or Aerospace degree dependant on experience)
