Our automotive client is a market leader in luxury and high volume off-road vehicles, designing and manufacturing in the Midlands.
They are currently seeking to recruit 2 General Buyers, starting in January 2012.
The individuals will provide a project support role to scope out and implement the operational and contractual changes required to purchasing documentation (e.g. contracts, purchase orders) and processes for proposed changes to migrate the legal entities
The first role will be consist of a maximum of 4 weeks scoping and assisting on the implementation for a further 12 weeks (total 16 weeks).
The second role will be for 12 weeks, assisting with the implementation period.
Role Requirements:
- Understanding of potential different types of purchasing contracts and orders across a diverse company
- Good interpersonal skills to interview key purchasing staff to understand work to be done and to work with same colleagues in implementation tasks
- Familiarity with contract / purchase order documents and on how the order-placing / contract cycle works
- Ideally worked in a large purchasing / procurement / contracts department for minimum 2 years
- Educated to at least A level.
