Our client is a leading automotive component manufacturer of BIW components and sunroof assemblies. As Production Planner you will need to have worked with high volume Production / Material planning environment within BIW.

Reporting to the Inventory and Planning Manager, you will be responsible for formulating efficient work plans for press / weld department, using the IFS ERP system, Decade Machine monitoring system (crystal reporting) and Microsoft tools to monitor, direct and optimize manufacturing performance.
You must have experience of production planning in a first tier automotive environment, ideally in a low mix/ high volume environment, be customer orientated, a self-starter with extensive knowledge of modern lean manufacturing techniques and their application in the supply chain. You will also need experience of dealing with ERP system and must have an aptitude for figure work and be computer literate. Experience and capability to ensure accuracy and timely reporting of existing KPI s, and to further develop where required is necessary and you must also be able to demonstrate excellent inter-personal skills and have the confidence to establish good working relationships with both customers, suppliers and on site personnel. Additionally, you will need effective communication with the Production Manager and Material Services department on any deviations or delays to the plan is also a key part of the role and you must be conscientious, with excellent organizational and IT skills, with the ability to manage the workflow through the operation to ensure that the required level of service and delivery expectations are achieved.
