The World`s largest supplier of essential components and systems for automobiles, including air conditioners, fuel injection systems, alternators, meters and filters among others is looking to recruit an EMS Test Engineer
To operate as a testing and instrumentation expert for engines and vehicles within EMS Facilities section based in the West Midlands.
The role will be particularly focussed on testing using engine dynamometers , and in-vehicle testing, to measure and analyse fundamental aspects of component and system performance such as torque, efficiencies, energy losses, and similar.
In depth knowledge of vehicle and engine testing for an automotive development environment (gasoline or diesel applications), including instrumentation and test equipment. Knowledge of engine dynamometer and testing methods is essential, plus fundamentals of engine operation such as torque, efficiency, and thermodynamics.
Detailed knowledge of engine management system and software (calibration) in an automotive development environment.
AVL Puma software and EDM operation, including ancillary equipment such as fuel flow meters, smoke meters and similar.
Data logging and instrumentation methods applicable to automotive test work.
Use of Matlab / Simulink.
