A world leader in the innovation, design and manufacture of diesel fuel injection equipment.

Due to expansion and increased demand for their products they are currently seeking to increase their headcount in their systems and software departments and are now looking for Software Engineers

The Software Engineers main duties will be drawn from the following:


Engine and Vehicle Control Application Feature Design using Matlab/Simulink.

Configuration control and managed by ClearQuest/ClearCase

Static Analysis using QA C to MISRA (plus local) guidelines

Integration Testing on Bench, Rig and Engine

Using load box / test harness / HIL

Using commercial software in-circuit emulation and background debug tools (e.g. EST BDM probe (PowerPC) , Lauterbach.

With local calibration and debug tools using CAN and K-line interfaces, Visu, ATI, Gredi etc.

Supporting System engineers in Validation Test

Requirements for the Software Engineer


Educated to degree level

Experienced in an embedded application field

Proven experience of developing real time systems

Willing to work as part of a team, but at times operate alone

Strong embedded real time software skills, using C

Configuration management experience using Clearcase

Experience of real time debugging using in-circuit emulation tools

Strong process discipline


Desirable additional characteristics:

Experience in the automotive field

Awareness of the SPICE assessment model

Experience of QAC, Clearquest, GNU toolchain

A knowledge of the C programming language
