Based on a very attractive University campus in Coventry, this Centre of Excellence for Vehicle and Powertrain development has gained an excellent reputation for innovative design and product delivery. Established in 2005, it has ambitious plans for further, steady growth and this has created many new opportunities for talented Engineers to join the team.

Working on behalf of the UK Centre, offering Engineering leadership and expertise, this role is based 80% of the time in India, other periods will be in the UK at the Coventry Centre. Whilst in India all living expenses will be covered offering a marvellous opportunity to experience this wonderful country. The initial focus will be to provide CAD and Engineering guidance to a small team of Indian Engineers on Lighting projects for commercial vehicle programmes. Whilst it would be great for candidates to have a Vehicle Lighting background, Engineers from any industry where you will have worked on complex mechanical products such as White or Yellow goods, Aerospace or General Engineering will also be considered.

Candidates will need to have a Degree or similar qualification and if not from a Vehicle Lighting Engineering background, the desire to learn about a new product group. Although not a hands-on CAD role, you will need to be competent in Catia V5 with knowledge of plastic injection moulded component design and manufacturing techniques. Must be a team player, self starter, confident and have a good record of leading teams of Engineers. It`s unlikely that candidates with less than 6 years industry experience will have sufficient depth to succeed in this exciting and challenging role.
