Our client, the UK`s leading supplier in small components to the automotive industry, is currently looking to recruit a Supply Chain Manager within in the Material Control and Supply Chain Team. This is a 12+ month contract position responsible for ensuring 100% on time delivery to the customer and ensuring all supply chain costs are under control and to budget. You will also be responsible for meeting the requirements of the company s Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental systems, which is mandatory and ensuring that the Company s policies and procedures are followed at all times.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Director your principle activities will include the management of staff, ensuring regular status and performance reviews are undertaken, understanding, development and promoting the Company s business objectives and participating with total enthusiasm and commitment to achieve and exceed them. You will also have to agree with Line Management appropriate measures (Key Performance Indicators) to monitor performance to achieve the Company s objectives and meet business plan targets and KPIs.
Key skills and competences required are communication skills - verbal and written, analytical skills, attention to detail, decision making, internal customer service, problem solving, organisational skills, computer literacy - MS Office to include Word and Excel, time management skills, the ability to work as part of a team, leadership and project management skills.
