HAVOC Test Engineer

Client is a rapidly expanding and leading independent provider of product engineering, research, testing information and certification to the worldwide automotive industry.

They currently have a contract requirement for a HAVOC Test Engineer for their site in Warwickshire.

The individual will be responsible for the following:

* Upkeep of records and project files.
* Assist planning vehicle purchase requirements
* Input into HAVOC procedures
* Input into Risk Assessment
* Liaison with Notified body/CE Marking
* Customer liaison
* Proposals / OFD
* Oversee test team planning by planning daily test activities for staff
* Plan non-test activities (maintenance/ tidying / implementation of new procedures, vehicle maintenance/cleaning records, facility equipment maintenance and records etc).
* Assist in planning of and overseeing of test installations/removal

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

* General Knowledge of relevant standards requirements:

- EN1317 1-8 excl 7
- PAS 68: 2010
- EN12767: 2007
- BS 6399
- NCHRP350 / MASH 2008
- ASTM / STD 2.01

* Knowledge of test methodology:

- Towing Attachment , Guidance, Ballasting / C of G, Data required for winch set-up
- Control of personnel
- Speed Measurement

* Knowledge of requirements for pre-test test item data:

- Test item measurements
- Test Item markers
- Delivery of relevant drawings
- Delivery / Install of product

* Knowledge of pre-test vehicle setup:
- Check/advise ballast and C of G
- Check/advise measurements
- Check/advise towing / guidance

* Knowledge of requirements for post test data:
- Location/ condition of vehicle
- Deflection/ penetration measurements
- Notation of test item damage and deformation
- Review of test data, verification of test data and calculation of severity indices.
- Assessment of speed/ angle using V-box
- Film analysis to obtain full test result for relevant standard
