IT Team Leader - Engineering

A world leader in the innovation, design and manufacture of Diesel Fuel Injection equipment are now looking for An IT professional who is able to lead a team to deliver and manage key services -SQL servers, file and print servers, domain controllers, backup and disaster recovery etc under a virtualised windows host environment. This is an urgent requirement on either a permanent or contract basis.
Other admin duties will include physical asset maintenance, logistics, security policy implementation and planned upgrades.


Administration of key services:
SQL Server 2008
Windows Server 2008
SAS business intelligence
Flexlm licence server, print server, file server
Dell Server Hardware (Equallogix SAN)
VMWare
AVL Santorin server
Domain services
Active directory security

Liaising with other IT contractors to deliver quality service for users.
Develop and lead a team to support ongoing IT initiatives and drive the business forward both at Park Royal Technical Centre and at the Stonehouse manufacturing facility.
Maintaining the integrity of local and remote networks (both hardware and software).
Manage the maintenance of existing PC's and software.
Develop program to upgrade PC's and Network to cope with changing demands.
Implementation and maintenance of Delphi IT security including domain specific user profiles, groups, SQL users and WAN access.
Manage the day to day activities of a small team (1 member already in place but recruiting for more) working on all aspects of IT support.
Content control of documentation and work instructions for common support jobs as well as DR, audit and regulatory requirements.
Liaise with software development group who are implementing bespoke software solutions across the business.
Work to ISO:9001 standards for quality and continuous improvement.

Experienced in working within a large, multi-domain environment that spans multiple sites, countries etc
Experience in admin of VMware, SQL 2008, Windows server 2008
Well rounded applicant with broad experience at all levels of IT
Management experience of a team
MCM + MCSE/MCSA /MCITP/Degree qualification
M.C.D.B.A or relevant experience
Training may be provided to the right applicant
