Manufacturing Engineer

Description:
In this challenging role you will take the lead on supporting the large Vee cylinder block machining line.
The position will report to the Block Line Performance Cell Leader.
Responsibilities:
-Manufacturing Engineering support for production - Day to day support for process, tooling and quality issues.
-Use of quality tools - Take the lead in FMEA's, 7-Step problem solving
-Process development - Analyse current processes, develop and implement capacity increase/cost reduction projects.
-Cost control: Control departmental budget and look at ways of cost reduction.
-Capital Investment - Lead major capital investment projects for new tooling/machinery.
-Working with suppliers - Assist suppliers to block line in achieving agreed capacity targets.
-Presentation skills - Conduct presentations to senior management on block line related projects.
Qualifications
Minimum HNC or preferably Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
Experience:
-Sound Engineering experience preferably in a complex Machining environment.
-PC Literate.
-Man management experience.
-Data gathering and Analysis skills.
-Strong interpersonal skills and good communicator.
