Design Engineer - CATIAand CAD - Advanced Engineering / Motorsport - Contract - £Rate Negotiable
A Contract Design Engineer with a background in Automotive, Aerospace and/or Motorsport is required for an initial 6 month period for this advanced engineering motorsport company based in Oxfordshire.
As the Design Engineer you will work on various production designs for high performance vehicle projects using CATIA V5. Must be capable of freeform surfacing, 3D modelling, drafting, teamcentre cad data management. PowerPoint presentations might be required. Jig & Fixture design using rapid prototypes.
Must be proactive in liaising with the build technicians and ensuring that you are efficient in solving problems which may lead up to complete redesigns – this needs to be done quickly and efficiently to meet strict deadlines.
Regular contact with suppliers is required regarding the design and manufacturing process of the project.
Need to be able to integrate into the team quickly and have a friendly nature.
Flexibility is required on working hours depending on the project deadlines.
