Motorsport F1 Vehicle Dynamics Engineer – Motorsport – Oxfordshire - £Neg

A Vehicle Dynamics Engineer is required to join one of the World’s most iconic F1 and Advanced Engineering brands.

The Motorsport F1 Vehicle Dynamics Engineer will be responsible for chassis development from suspension design concept to attribute sign-off including:


Vehicle dynamics subjective evaluation, benchmarking and target setting
Component / geometry optimization (spring, dampers, anti-roll bars, bushes, tyres, steering system) to achieve dynamics attribute targets for steering, ride and handling
Calibration of electronically controlled chassis systems: e.g. steering, active dampers
Liaison with design engineers / suppliers and other development engineer within Chassis Systems
Vehicle development planning / management to ensure successful delivery
Test activity coordination
Vehicle dynamics problem resolution
Technical report writing


Skills / Experience Required
Proven capability of successfully developing chassis specifications to meet / exceed project expectations
Good understanding of vehicle dynamics theory
Formal driver training qualifications from Industry recognized organization / OEM
Extensive limit handling driving experience
Ability to clearly report, present and, generally, communicate results
Ability to adapt and overcome setbacks in development environment
Ability to self-motivate to achieve the best possible result with minimum supervision
Flexible attitude to working hours when required meeting project deliverables
