Position Description:
Project Engineer within Body Engineering. Primary activity will be to develop and deliver damage protection solutions for a number of BE commodities. Analysis and resolution of quality issues identified by internal and external indicators including Warranty, JD Powers, PCPA, RFT, TGW. Co-ordination of plant quality, production and supplier issues Report out at sub-system team reviews. VQR"s and PQR"s to schedule in support of the VRT Leader. Robust delivery of Quality driven projects utilising standard reporting methods such as 8D, 6 panels, A3s. Management of engineering change in WERS through CMM as required.

Skills Required:
Proven project management capability, ideally encompassing work with suppliers. General Engineering knowledge of Body components, design, function, performance, production and manufacturing requirements. Logical and methodical approach to component applications, verification and validation. An understanding of Engineering Standards. Effective communicator with strong organisational, presentation and numerical skills. PC Literacy in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc. Working knowledge of change management processes: AIMS, WERS, PACN.

Skills Preferred:
CAD literacy, ability to manipulate and interrogate CAD data and use of associated visualisation tools would be an advantage. Working knowledge project delivery processes, PCS/GPDS/PPAP. Experience in the use of engineering tools, FMEA, Six Sigma, problem resolution (8D) etc.

Experience Required:
Successful history of delivery within the automotive sector at an OEM or tier #1 supplier.

Experience Preferred:
Ideally within the automotive sector or adjacent industries, e.g. rail, aerospace, defence, energy etc.

Education Required:
Ideally degree educated, in a relevant field or subject.
