A Production Team Leader with a proven background within a manufacturing environment is required to help deliver manufacturing production activities to a small team of 10 to 12 people. Our client based in Small Heath, Birmingham has a wonderful heritage and tradition for their product but is now looking to turn the business into a modern manufacturing facility.

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for assisting productivity improvements through line layouts, single piece flow improved process methods and ensuring minimal disruption to production flow.

You will be actively involved in delivering quality improvement programmes and introducing lean methodologies i.e. 5s, Kanban, etc.

You must have experience of:

  • Running & developing a production team.
  • Ideally from an automotive environment, however this is not essential.
  • You will have good man-management skills with the ability to communicate and lead team members whilst also delivering results to senior management.
  • A strong “lean manufacturing” philosophy with a hands-on approach, you will also need to be IT literate with Word & Excel.

This person will be supporting Senior Management in the implementation and application of procedures and processes pursuant to the medium and long term goals of the business.

The salary range for this role is £17,000-£20,000pa depending on experience and excellent career opportunities for this growing organisation.
