Quality Engineer - Automotive - West Midlands - Excellent salary plus benefits

A Quality Engineer is required to work for a market leader in luxury and high volume off-road vehicles, designing and manufacturing in the Midlands.
In this key role, you'll drive product conformance to agreed quality standards and procedures. In other words, when it comes to quality, you'll make sure their customers are the automotive industry's most satisfied. Your primary focus will be the definition, development and implementation of a quality operating system

Qualified to degree level in an Industrial or Mechanical Engineering subject, ideal candidates should have demonstrable, hands-on experience of machining / assembly production, together with the ability to audit quality systems for the identification and correction of deficiencies.
You'll have a good working knowledge of quality tools including PFMEA, SPA, Standard Work Sheets, Quality Process Sheets, Capability studies, DoE, PPAP and 8D. Familiar with Six Sigma (DMAIC) methodology and tools, you will ideally be a Black Belt.

Knowledge of auto industry specifications, codes and standards is also essential. Equally effective working solo and as part of a team, you have excellent communication skills at all levels.
