My client is seeking an experienced APQP and PPAP Quality professional to take on the role of Quality Planning Engineer.
As Quality Planning Engineer you will utilise all relevant experience to ensure that projects and new product development have a flawless production launch and to provide a strong link to the production environment, ensuring that customer PPAP approvals are gained in a controlled and timely manner.

Job description
Support the development team from the quotation and concept phase through to production with relevant quality input.
Liaison with customers regarding component quality and performance against expected levels
Involvement in the development of the product and production processes through support of FMEA creation and development, manufacturing feasibility meetings alongside other internal and external meetings
Monitoring and resolution of internal and customer related issues
Creation of control plans and implementation of the related controls to the production processes.

The role would be perfect for a proactive sales and customer service based individual who has previous experience of warm based selling and customer account management. This multi faceted role will be part following up on leads (quotes) on the phone or face to face, organising engineers diaries, whilst responding to incoming sales enquiries for their products. The individual needs to be organised and proactive as you'll be expected to generate new clients whilst maximising opportunity and productivity, there is no cold calling involved as the firm has a very good reputation in the marketplace.

A key task in the role is to learn the products and the various products codes with a view to talk through the products on the phone with the customer, you don't need to know how the products work necessarily, but will be expected to learn the catalogue numbers over time. A varied role working for a firm that have been very busy over the last few years and will continue to be in the future.

PC literacy is essential and you'll also be expected to learn the companies specialist IT software.

A permanent role with a start date in June, a good market salary on offer.

They also offer design, development, manufacture and software services and products to the aerospace, space, energy and transport industries. The firm are looking for an experienced CNC Miller to work in the machine shop of about 30 staff.

The role is an immediate start on contract based on a 3 shift pattern to include nights. You must have experience of working in a very high precision environment with quality being the key factor and be used to working on aerospace products. Experience on rotating parts (fans, blades, disks, blisks etc) is advantageous. An NVQ Level 3 or apprentice background (completed) is a pre requisite for the role.

The company are extremely busy and their order book is crammed for the next year at least working with some major aerospace providers.
