NPI Engineer
Worcester/Redditch/South Birmingham.
REQUIREMENTS:An NPI Engineer (graduate with 2-5 years experience) or a recent graduate with project management experience.
Purpose:
Reporting to the Projects Manager, the Engineer will have responsible for creating and monitoring project plans, progress chasing actions and controlling costs.
The role will include regular communication with design, multinational business and sales teams plus suppliers and occasionally customers.
The scope will include planning all Mechanical parts, including Moulding and Dial tool planning and working closely with Purchasing and Production departments.
DESCRIPTION: Company manufacture electronic facia instruments for major OEMs. Due to continued expansion they are seeking an experienced NPI Engineer or a recent graduate with project management experience to work out of the Worcestershire based offices.
The Role:
Support tool layout and costing of projects
Track tooling status to ensure design changes are incorporated and costs removed
Track parts orders to ensure correct level is received
Maintain product history for pre-production builds
Cost recovery of Design Change Notes (DCN)
Packaging specification, including validation and approval (internal and external)
Support in the validation of BOM (s)
Supporting the delivery of project milestones to achieve customers expectations
Support RFQ activities
Support Purchasing Team in tool general assembly reviews
Support cost down activities with other UK , European and Japanese locations.
