We are recruiting for a Cost Reduction Engineer on a 12-month contract based in Peterborough.
As Cost Reduction Engineer, you will be responsible for technical investigation and validation of 400 series engines cost reduction and component sourcing projects, duties will include:
* Generating ideas and supporting business cases.
* Project definition.
* Analysis of existing designs and working with suppliers and designers to identify suitable alternative designs, materials and processes.
* Defining validation requirements as well as conducting validation tests, analyzing results and writing technical approval reports for production use.
* Support to cost reduction efforts in UK, China and USA facilities.
Qualifications:
* Engineering degree is preferred, as is Engine expertise. The ability to understand engineering drawings is required.
* Good experience in design, materials testing and measurement or manufacturing processes will be beneficial.
* Must have the ability to communicate effectively with team members and others in the work group, as well as component suppliers.
