We have an exciting opportunity for a NPI Engineer to join a UK leading manufacturing specialist for the automotive industry.

THE COMPANY:
Our client is a manufacturing specialist offering a range of automotive interior solutions for both vehicle manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers. As a Tier 1, ISO TS16949 and JLRQ accredited manufacturing supplier they provide interior solutions to some of the world"s leading OEM"s including Jaguar, Landrover and Aston Martin.

THE ROLE:
You will be expected to deliver simultaneous programmes with overall responsibility for the achievement and implementation of each programme.

* Serves as overall facilitator for the development of the product programmes
* Plans, directs and controls all activities relating to the New Product Introduction (NPI) including APQP, SQA, Engineering, Purchasing and Manufacturing Engineering
* Manage high value product programmes proactively from acquisition to start of production to ensure timing and objectives are met for all customer milestones and oversee product programmes
* Interface with required functional disciplines and departments for programme support and to ensure the programme is achievable
* Assures appropriate programme planning to confirm that product development is consistent with established programme objectives and company needs
* Facilitates Executive-Level interaction between the company, the customer and plant personnel
* Coordinates and maintains communications with the design and operations staff and our customer for all programme activities
* Verify the implementation of solutions (Quality System, Drawings and Prototype Product)

THE PERSON:
You will be an experienced NPI Engineer with a working history at a First Tier Supplier to the automotive industry. You will have an industry recognised technical qualification, sound knowledge and understanding of reading technical drawings and engineering specifications with the ability to create timing plans/APQP deliverables.


THE BENEFITS:
The salary is between £30,000 to £35,000 with company benefits.
