We are recruiting for an Electronic Engineer on a 6-month contract based in Peterborough.
As Electronic Engineer, your focus will be to guide and work with the Electronics team and prime product development group to define, develop, test, and deliver integrated electrical and electronic machine control systems for earthmoving machines products designed and developed in Europe. This may include coordination and integration of various systems such as drivetrain, braking, steering, implement, operator interfaces, monitoring systems, and power systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, manage coordinated development, test and deliver integrated Machine Electrical and Electronics Systems
* Solicit capture and document Electrical and Electronics System Requirements
* Evaluate and analyze product design and requirements changes.
* Develop integrated Machine System Bench Test Specification and test plans
* Execute test plans, resolve root cause of any issues
* Ensure the system is verified and validated for production.
* Develop, manage, communicate and execute a Software Release Schedule for all stakeholders.
Qualifications, skills and experience required -
Essential:
* BSc in Engineering or equivalent
* Experience with complex machine systems with electronic control systems
* Experience with problem solving of electrical and electronic systems
* Experience interfacing with clients and suppliers
* Experience with defining system requirements
Desirable:
* Demonstrated experience with engine, machine, and/or hydraulic systems
* Comfortable resolving technical issues and implementing solutions
* Previous knowledge or experience developing control systems for diesel engines, construction equipment or automotive applications is desirable.
* CANape, CANalyzer tool experience.
* Comfortable using collaboration tools to work with a global team of resources
