We seek a Quality Analyst for an initial 12 month contract based in Wolverhampton.
THE COMPANY:
Turner Powertrain Systems is part of the UK Caterpillar Group located in Wolverhampton (West Midlands). They are a market leader in the design, development, manufacture, sales and support of off-highway transmissions for Backhoe Loaders, Telescopic Material Handlers and 4-9 tonne Site Dumpers.
THE ROLE:
As the Quality Analyst you will be the first point of contact for supplier quality concerns.
You will define severity and introduce containment where applicable:
* Notify supplier.
* Arrange for inspection by internal resource, supplier or sub contract agency.
* Raise QCCAR (8D).
* Update of QCCAR database.
* Close out of QCCAR within allotted timescale.
* Liaison and feedback to QCD Engineer.
* Feedback to internal customer.
* Attend Corrective Action Meetings (supply Chain Representative).
* Supplier visits where required to conduct Countermeasure Confirmation Audits to include verification of PFMEA and Control Plans.
You'll need to attend daily PID meetings (Daily Production Cell meetings) and support the Capacity Planning Engineer.
THE PERSON:
We are looking for looking for an experienced Quality Analyst/Engineer from a manufacturing background ideally in off-highway transmissions or the automotive sector. A good understanding of 8D, PFMEA's and Control Planning will be needed along with excellent communication skills for supplier interaction.
