We are recruiting for a Process Control Engineer on a 6-month contract based in Peterborough.

As Process Control Engineer, you will be responsible for contributing leadership and expertise as part of a continuous quality improvement process for supply base in the execution of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and the implementation of process control.

Also responsible for suppliers processes from cradle to grave in the product life, validating process capability and managing project plans and activities to ensure compliance with their expectations, while adhering to the highest ethical and professional standards within this diverse global organization. Exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
* Working with suppliers to ensure that robust process controls are in place to prevent nonconformities
* Continuously monitoring suppliers key manufacturing processes and quality management system for improvement opportunities, supporting 6 Sigma initiatives with suppliers
* Assisting suppliers with APQP activities to ensure production readiness for New Product Introducing (NPI), helping suppliers to reduce waste and extract value from these activities
* Providing technical support during start-up activities
* Ensuring resolution and implementation of robust solutions for quality problems associated with purchased materials and engineering issues.

Education/Experience:
* University degree in engineering or equivalent education/experience required
* Significant engineering experience required.
* A Quality Engineering certification - preferred.
