Test Engineer

A world leader in the innovation, design and manufacture of Diesel Fuel Injection equipment are now looking for a Test Engineer.
The job function of the Test Engineer is to interpret test programmes and to perform specified tests on engines and vehicles, using computerised engine test dynamometers, chassis dynamometers, cold rooms and emissions equipment.
The successful applicant will report directly to the Engine and Vehicle Test Manager.
The roles main duties will be drawn from the following:
Specifying engine installation.
Instrumentation requirements - undertaking tests, preparing test data and graphs.
Calibrating and maintaining test equipment.
Instrumentation and to diagnose and rectify faults with engine test equipment.
The successful Test Engineer will hold a degree in an associated engineering subject would be preferred or a high level of relevant experience or served a recognised engineering apprenticeship.
Must have a sound knowledge of engines, fuel injection systems and test procedures with the ability to systematically work through problems on their own initiative.
Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels along with the ability work effectively both as part of a team and alone in a flexible manner.
This position is shift basis comprising of 37 hours on either day shift or a double day shift.
