We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join a UK leading manufacturing specialist for the automotive industry.

THE COMPANY:
Our client is a manufacturing specialist offering a range of automotive interior solutions for both vehicle manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers. As a Tier 1, ISO TS16949 and JLRQ accredited manufacturing supplier they provide interior solutions to some of the world"s leading OEM"s including Jaguar, Landrover and Aston Martin.

THE ROLE:
You will deal with customer and supplier issues, generating documentation for sample submission to customers, and document all problem solving activities. Generate internal operator instructions for all processes, and documentation to comply with quality system requirements.

* Implementation of automotive quality standards
* Co-ordinate QC/QA activities, inspections, measurement, capability analysis SPC
* Ensure customer problem resolution activities, including costs for materials, labour, and time relating to customer issues via PPS / 8D process and on customer required documentation.
* Raise and maintain all OPC documentation, control plans etc for the production processes.
* Performing gauge RandR studies to satisfy MSA
* To carry out quality system audits
* The setting and verification of quality standards as and when required
* To carry out PSW, system and process audit trackers
* To attend APQP meetings on new projects and engineering changes and produce required documentation for same.

THE PERSON:
You will be an experienced Quality Engineer with a good understanding of TS16949. Ideally from an Interior Component/Trim background you will have working experience APQP and SPC with a First Tier Automotive supplier.

THE BENEFITS:
The salary is between £28,000 to £32,000 with company benefits.
