Commercial Technician
Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, England
Our client is a world leading manufacturer of cabin interior products for commercial passenger aircraft and business jets, as well as, a wide range of cabin interior design, reconfiguration and certification services, including the conversion of passenger aircraft to freighter use.
You will obtain price and lead-time data from the approved supplier base and update the current database systems to reflect the quotation.
The suitable candidate will have a good engineering / purchasing administration background gained in a low to medium volume manufacturing environment. This will include;
* Purchasing or vendor interaction
* Understanding of data management and the associated systems for identifying changes (i.e. Supplier price lists or CCB)
* Good understanding of multi-level BoM structures
* Basic knowledge of engineering drawings and associated documents (ECN s)
* Basic knowledge of assembly stages and methods
* Experience within a continuous improvement/lean culture
* Good working knowledge of computer systems (MS Office and JD Edwards)
