A major first tier supplier to German and British based OEM`s with injection moulding and assembly on site. They are currently looking for an experiened Toolmaker.
To support Production, Maintenance, Paint plant, Engineering and Assembly departments.
Repair and service of existing production Plastic injection mould tooling. Modification of existing and new production Plastic injection mould tooling in line with engineering changes issued. Design, manufacture, repair and service of jigs and fixtures as required by production and engineering departments.
The toolroom operate a 2 shift rotational work pattern.
1. Must be conversant with all Toolroom machines. Including Millers, Lathes, Grinders and Cylindrical grinders.
2. Must be able to read and understand drawings and be able to work with the minimum of supervision.
3. Must be conversant with the use of spark erosion machines.
4. Must have very good bench hand skills and be used to the bedding out of small to large plastic mould tools to a high standard.
5. CNC spark erosion and wire erosion experience necessary.
6. CNC milling experience necessary (in particular Hurco VM milling machine).
7. Tig welding skills necessary.
8. Cad Cam, Cad systems and Catia knowledge advantageous.
