Our client is the largest producer of Nickel based alloys in the UK supplying Aerospace, Petrochem and Automotive markets with highly specialised product. Most product is smelted then forged or extruded on site with some wire and sheet product processed off site. Highly reliant on metalurgical technical expertise this stable company is seeing good growth in customer requirements.
The main duties will include the day-to-day supervision of maintenance personnel within the manufacturing area and the safe implementation of maintenance schedules, to provide maximum output from associated plant and equipment.
The ideal candidate will be qualified in an appropriate engineering discipline to HNC or Degree standard with experience in a supervisory role.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for the reliability and capability of the plant and equipment within the area using assigned resources and where required contractors to fulfil production obligations ensuring the Key Performance Indicators of Safety, Quality, Cost and Output are improved.
