An opportunity has arisen for a Quality / Manufacturing Engineer within an automotive business involved in the manufacture of aluminium based components and assemblies with sustainable plans for growth. Well supported with investment both in equipment and people.
From a quality perspective you will: demonstrate the use of Quality planning (APQP) and deliver timing plans to support projects and programs, facilitate the resolution of client concerns with internally manufactured and supplied product by means of appropriate quality problem solving tools, support the achievement of the Company Quality KPI s (eg; Customer PPM, Internal Scrap and Cost of Poor Quality). You will also be resposnible for defining and deploying agreed quality standards within the organisation and down through to supply chain.

From a Manufacturing Engineering perspective you will plan and implement prototype and pre production builds following a recognised process (APQP) enabling tools, fixtures and processes to be deployed, compile required PPAP/ PSW submission data, initiate and be part of continuous improvement ideas and methods. You will also be required to work with others to solve day to day business problems utilising 8D problem solving principles and promote lean manufacturing.
You will ideally have an Engineering qualification (BTEC, ONC, HNC etc) and working knowledge of TS 16949 and ISO1400. Any experience of QA and Environmental management at a senior level would be advantageous.
