Are ergonomics and human factors your key skills?

A human-machine-interface expert is required to work within an automotive environment with responsibility for all things ergonomics and human factors.

This is a contract position with a market leading automotive manufacturer of high-end vehicles based in Gaydon in the West Midlands. You will primarily be responsible for daily life usage along with developing human-machine-interface targets and solutions to ensure adherence to all relevant standards. Experience within the automotive industry is highly desirable as the ergonomics focus is on vehicle interior accommodation and usability.

Some specific areas of focus include luggage and stowage, electrical power provision, turning circle and a lot more.

You must have experience with;

  • Ergonomics (preference is to candidate with ergonomics experience or qualifications)
  • Human Factors
  • Human-Machine-Interface
  • Automotive industry – including vehicle interior accommodation and usability

In addition to this you should have experience with interpreting customer quality data - for example JD power.

This role is based in Gaydon, West Midlands but may also require some travel to another site based in Whitley, outside Coventry. The rate is highly variable depending on experience so please do not let this be a barrier to applying.
