Vehicle Human Factors /Ergonomic Programme Leader Competive rate depending on experience

Specific areas of Responsibility include:
- Work from concept through key development gateways to deliver robust customer requirements.
- Take project management responsibility for development of the Human Machine Interface, Accommodation and Usability for specific new vehicle programmes,
- Develop and set targets, develop the vehicle concept with Design, Marketing and Engineering, evaluate and develop Vehicle design via User trial and Expert evaluation,
- Ensure adherence to relevant standards, lead problem resolution and validate delivery throughout the vehicle design and development process
- Report status using formal documentation and represent HMI/Human Factors / Ergonomics Attributes for the programme team.

Experience Required
- Sound understanding of good Human Factors and Ergonomic design principles for Occupant Package and User Interface.
- Ability to coordinate and run user trials to gather objective data to support Business decision making and detail design
- Statistical analysis, problem solving and root-cause analysis including idea generation and issue resolution.
- Clear and concise communicator
- Ability to produce formal documentation to a professional standard.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver to short timescales and deadlines.
Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised within the local team and interfacing across business functions.
- Competitor research/benchmarking (physical and web-based) and Quality data analysis

Experience preferred
Human Factors / Ergonomics role within a Consumer led Product Development environment to include concept development, assessment and user trialling

Preferred
- Human Factors / Ergonomics role within Vehicle design environment.
Awareness of product development process including Design for Manufacture
- Familiarity with Premium automotive sector, products and features.

Degree Qualified, you will be part of the team developing Ergonomic, Human Factor/HMI techniques

This role is based at Gaydon, but may require some working at Whitley.
