Positions description:

The engineer will also be responsible to maintain tracking of all verification and validation activities using the HIL test rig and develop test plans to support all Electrical Engineering function areas.

Experience / education required:
-Familiar with dSPACE simulators and automated testing.
-Competent with dSPACE ControlDesk and Test Automation (MXvDEV).
-Familiar with MATLAB, SIMULINK and STATEFLOW.
-Competent with Vector and Interpid test tools.
-Able to understand hardware and software specification of electrical control units.
-Familiar with high level vehicle functionality including hybrids.

As Deputy Team Leader you will be responsible for working with a small team of up to 7 staff managing and monitoring all functions associated with the operation of plant turbine, boilers and co-ordination of incoming and outgoing waste.

You will be responsible for the following:
- To accurately anticipate for mishaps and maintain control of the above by regular observation of the Direct Control System (DCS) to check temperature flow, pressure readings from the turbine/boiler, readings from control systems, gauges, and alarms.
- Accurately report readings and note daily operations in the shift log for continued monitoring and shift changeovers, as well as reporting on readings from any night shift work, and report on daily emissions.
- Monitoring all areas of the plant from the control room. This includes, operating the overhead crane for the systematic removal of waste, and accessing all areas of the plant (from height to ground levels) to check instruments, gauges, and to take readings and take actions as required.

This role would be working a continental shift pattern of 4 days on (2 x days/2 x nights - 12 hour shifts) 4 days off with a basic salary of £27,400pa plus overtime.

You will be experienced with Process procedures within a high pressure boiler or steam turbine environment and an FLT or FLS Licence would be viewed advantageously.
