This is a key role in powertrain cooling with responsibility for the component engineering element of cooling design. Capable in either the heat exchanger or pipe/tanks/valves. Powertrain cooling is responsible for the cooling design, development and sign off. It is organised into two component groups 1) Heat exchanger systems and 2) Pipes, tanks and valves, with supporting Development and System Strategies groups. The department is responsible for taking concept design from the Advanced Product Creation (APC) team, refining and driving those designs into production. The department has a wide variety of work, currently having major projects on most of the OEM model lines.

Experience of powertrain systems is strongly recommended. Ideas, CATIA V4 & CATIA V5 required. Core engineering experience, with the ability to evaluate problems and propose resolutions. The role will require an adaptable individual who is able to deal with a number of diverse tasks. Applicants should be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role. Construct overall delivery plan and maintain it. Work with other OEM CAD teams to import and export CAD data. In addition the successful candidate should be able to work with the supplier base and drive in the principles and operating practices associated with GPDS. Skills Required:

They are looking to appoint a Manufacturing Engineer to support day to day process and product elements of manufacture of castings including Project management, FMEA, Control Plan, Manufacturing Instructions and interpretation of process audit and product quality data to prevent problems occurring at source.
