A Project Manager is required to work on automotive auto transmissions for a Midlands based OEM.
Description
Our automotive client is a market leader in luxury and high volume off-road vehicles, designing and manufacturing in the Midlands.
Position Description:
Project Manager. Hybrids Auto Transmission. Hybrid Electric Vehicle transmission engineer, Delivery from concept through to launch, detail design definition, packaging, supplier liaison, virtual build support, WERS releases, Quality process (DFMEA & DVP), ESO testing, PSW and Launch preparation.
Job Requirements
Skills Required:
HND or Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering. Good understanding of transmission componentry. Excellent communication skills. Excellent PC skills including Microsoft Office and MS Project. Experience in Transmission or major Powertrain Delivery experience.
Skills Preferred:
Knowledge of OEM AIMs system. Knowledge of GPDS delivery process. Knowledge of OEM EFDVs DVP delivery system. Full driving license. Quality (DFMEAs, DVPs, Robustness). Issue resolution techniques (6 sigma, 8D). Project management. Supplier management. Design and Release (BOM management). DV testing and engineering sign off experience. Production readiness. Manufacturing awareness.
Details
Experience Required:
Extensive experience in Transmission or major Powertrain Delivery experience.
Education Required:
An HND or Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
