A Calibration Engineer is required to work for our large automotive client based in Essex.

Job Requirements
Position Description:
Plan, lead and implement automatic transmission control calibrations to meet vehicle level targets for shift quality and scheduling, emissions, fuel economy and performance feel & driving smoothness. Assist in vehicle/powertrain issue identification and resolution. Lead, develop, and execute development work plans. Develop strategy & calibration improvements in response to quality and customer reports. Develop and maintain appropriate documentation for reporting to vehicle programme.
Skills Required:
Understanding of the principles and dynamic characteristics of automatic transmissions, internal combustion engines (petrol and diesel), driveline and installation systems. Knowledge of automatic transmission and engine control systems. Knowledge of the major powertrain attributes; PF&D, fuel economy, exhaust emissions, engine and transmission OBD.

Knowledge of powertrains, vehicle sub-systems, electrical systems, controls system.
Experience Required:
PT development & calibration/tuning. Usage of PC based CAN development tools, vehicle diagnostic & calibration tools. Minimum of 2 years driving experience with full clean licence in categories B, BE, C1 and C1E. UK work permit EU.
Experience Preferred:
INCA Dev tools
Education Required:
Degree in mechanical engineering or EE or equivalent.
Applicants MUST have proof of immediate and valid eligibility to work full time in the UK.
