A leading supplier of fluid transfer products to the automotive industry require a Product Engineer to work within a small team reporting to the Programme Manager, the role requires a hands on engineer, with experience within a 1st Tier automotive environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead design interface and perform effective Engineering changes to release, and provide effective support to customer PST teams.
Responsibility for product compliance to all internal and customer specifications including driving new validations as required.
Support the product design validation through DFMEA and DVPandR documentation process through DV/ PV/ CV project phases.
Enthusiastic, Conscientious individual with a can do attitude providing attention to detail and ability to produce clear and accurate data.
Liaise with customer providing effective communication in demanding OEM environment.
To support related activities steering to customer program builds and support of internal launches combined with customer STA.
Skills and Specifications
Proven experience in automotive product engineering/ validation environment.
Knowledge of interpreting engineering drawings.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Time served experienced Engineering discipline.
Understanding of DFMEA techniques.
Engineering qualification.

Desirable
Experience of fluid transfer systems such as; TOC, PAS
Understanding of OEM practices.
Experience of CAD packages.

Overseas travel will be required when necessary to support engineering issues and provide program/ launch assistance.
