You will have a proven track record in managing a dynamic and global purchasing function. Or be an experienced Senior Buyer looking to make the next career move.
You will be responsible for managing a team of strategic purchasing professionals with a global supply base.
Key Responsibilities of this role include;
* Responsible for managing combined spend of c 200 - 300m ensuring parts availability, value for money, pricing and optimised cash management is achieved
* Responsible for supplier selection
* Provide cohesive direction to teams involved in delivery of purchasing activities
* Development and implementation of supply base strategies
*Drive compliance with all purchasing policies and procedures
* Negotiation of annual productivity contracts with suppliers including management of raw material and exchange rate movements
*Management of relationships with internal customers and stakeholders
You must have the following skills/experience:
* Qualified to degree level + - ESSENTIAL
* 5+ years purchasing experience - essential
* Extensive knowledge of contract management - essential
* 2+ years of leadership experience - desirable
* Highly developed business acumen and negotiation/influencing skills - essential
* Strategic thinker
* Project management/GPDS - essential
