My client a globally known market leader based in the North East

Employing 700 people on the site, the business is undergoing significant investment in manufacturing processes and office facilities.
Opportunities for career progression within the business are excellent for ambitious individuals of ability
Main duties
-Will be working with suppliers to build lean Supply Chain capability relating to material replenishment for the site
-Address and resolve supplier issues using root cause and corrective action
-Perform supplier value stream mapping and material flow improvments
-Responsible for improving supplier capacity, quality and delivery performance for the site
-Provide leadership and coaching to team members
-Help develop and create strong relationships with existing and new suppliers
-Develop and implement bespoke solutions to complex problems
-Significant levels of travel involved in the role, around 50-75% of time spent away from site
Required skills and Experience

-Candidates should ideally be degree educated in Supply Chain or Logistics related discipline or equivalent industry experience
-Previous experience of Supply Chain management and strong understanding of systems and procedures involved
-Knowledge and understanding of 6 sigma Project Management principles
-Candidates should be APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
-Previous experience from an Engineering or Manufacturing environment
