Product Planning is a department within the Product Development organisation. - Program definition.

The Role

This facility based in Staffordshire is a highly efficient process controlled plant and for this role you will need extensive experience leading and managing a modern forward thinking maintenance department. Knowledge of planned preventative and reliability maintenance will be required together with experience of TPM, RCM and NDT disciplines.

As a member of the senior team you will motivate staff and drive forward a culture of safety, continuous improvement and increased plant efficiency. Use of modern problem solving methodologies will be required together with effective management skills and communication.

 
Qualifications for the role will be a degree in Mechanical Engineering and you will ideally be a chartered meember of the IMECHE or other associated profeesional body. Experienced of Process Controlled Chemical Processing plant would be ideal, but just as important will be your management ability to motivate and drive an experienced maintenance team and supporting plant contractors.

Europe business is seeking to recruit an Instrumentation Technician to work in the
Engineering department. The Instrumentation Technician will be required to maintain and
support high technology plant across the site.
This role will also involve the installation and modification of electrical process control equipment as directed.
An ONC/HNC in a relevant Engineering qualification and proven experience within an instrumentation and process control environment in a heavy industrial/chemical environment is required. The
ideal applicant will be used to working as part of a multi disciplined maintenance team.

Core skills would include a demonstrable working knowledge of the following:

Breakdown diagnosis, faultfinding, repair and calibration of instrumentation.
Able to read and follow circuit diagrams, PandID's and PFD's
Control panel modification and maintenance.
Conventional and ProfiBus Instrumentation applications.
Flow Valves, Level and Temp probes, sensors and actuators.
Emergency and safety systems.
Omron PLC I/O and low level fault finding
Applicants should also have a good, working knowledge of IS014001. Further knowledge of ATEX and MCERTS compliance would be an advantage.

* Drive cabin trim deliverables and lead solutions to cross functional issues on the key project.
* Support the development and engineering of the cabin trim systems
* Drive closure of issues and establish cost/timing impact
* Drive engineering releases through customer system.
* Support the engineering deliverables through to engineering sign off of the vehicle
* Manage ETRS and engineering change tracker
* Support management of both prototype and production parts during pre-build phases.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

* Automotive Interiors project lead experience
* Degree qualified or similar qualification
* GPDS (Global Product Delivery System) experience
* ETRS (Engineering Timing Release System)
* Exterior trim (roof rails, spoilers, chrome and plastics)
* Minimum of 5 years automotive experience is essential.

This is a hands o quality role with a principal focus to undertake calibration studies on measuring equipment (reactive and planned) and maintain the relevant quality documentation associated with the equipment, consulting with suppliers and customers if required. As mentioned earlier, the work is carried out to both ISO14001 and TS16949 standards so it is essential you have this experience before applying.
