Software Engineer - Test Systems (Labview)

A World leader in the field of advanced fuel injection systems to the car, truck and industrial sectors are now looking for a Software Engineer Test Systems (Labview).
The Software Engineer will support the development of test rig capabilities to meet the changing needs of the product development and validation engineers. This includes bug fixing, documentation, implementing new strategies, managing large code changes and training the users on new features as they are released

The successful candidate will ensure software evolution proceeds in accordance with ongoing requirements spec development.
Liaise with the product and validation groups, supporting test rig capability improvements.
Maintain source code and document software development.
Integrate new hardware into test systems.
Ensure adherence to quality control standards, QS900, ISO1400 and TS16949.

The Software Engineer will hold a degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent ideally with expeirenc eof working within a mechanical engineering environment (development/validation) and be highly experienced in either:
LabView, (capable of programming components of test rig control applications) or Diesel Fuel injection systems.

You will be familiar with the use of various software applications Matlab, Labview etc with a genuine interest and enjoyment in engineering and resolving technical problems.

Experience within the following areas would be desirable:
CAN and Serial comms using NI hardware.
TCP / IP.
Instrumentation (types, hardware, procedures, calibration).
Data acquisition (NI equipment).
Closed loop process control systems.
Multi axis motor and drive systems.
Hydraulic equipment, circuits and instrumentation.
Basic electronics.
Data structures, databases, SQL.
