Client Information
My client a global market leading manufacturing company based in South Yorkshire require an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their new manufacturing facility

Main Duties
The main responsibilities of the position are to ensure high Electrical engineering availability throughout the department. This includes responsibilities for Health, Safety and Environment, maintaining engineering standards, development of equipment and monitoring of plant reliability and costs


Job description
-Responsible for the maintenance of all motors and drives, and fault finding to component level using known diagnostic methods and tools
-The maintenance of PLC systems, the use of programming tools to identify faults on PLC systems and monitoring and modifying parameters as required.
-The removal and refurbishment of machinery parts using known methods and tools, such as changing motors, hydraulic pumps / cylinders, wear parts.
-Scheduling, managing and working with Maintenance and Preventative Maintenance activities on all machines.
-Carrying out a 'Single Events Analysis' and completing the required reports when there is a major breakdown on plant.
-Adhering to all safety related legislation relevant to operations and maintenance, including adhering to Safe Working Procedures, Risk Assessments, Isolation and Immobilisation procedures and permit systems, Institute of Engineering and Technology Regulations and any environmental standards.
-Candidates must be able to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, working with technical data as part of the maintenance process.
-The mechanical maintenance at the site, which involves the basic ability to fault find on hydraulics, pneumatics to component level.


Key skills and experience
Strong knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and requirements.
Proven problem solving and fault finding ability.
An enthusiastic and self-motivated approach to work, with excellent organisational and project management skills.
Strong communication skills to interact with colleagues, suppliers and contractors.
An electrically bias education, to a HNC level or with proven experience working in the electrical field in a heavy manufacturing environment.
