Our client provides a unique range of products and services to the insurance and motor repair industries. Primarily, conducting research and product data . This data assists in the efficient, safe and cost effective repair of motor vehicles.
Working closely with vehicle manufacturers to influence the design of new vehicles, their aim is to improve safety and security.
They are now looking for a Telematics EDR Engineer to identify the key aspects of EDR and telemetry systems.

Main responsibilities will include but is not limited to:
Gather information and report on the current market specifications for low and high spec systems.
Provide market data report for current EDR usage, and current Field Operational Trials (FOT). Report and identify trends in legislation and technologies.
Network with existing providers to understand the advantages and disadvantages of current systems.
Gather knowledge of in-field experience and FOT.
Compile information about telecommunications and data transmission systems, wireless networking, data encryption and data packet transmission.
Understand international standards for OE and aftermarket EDR.

As the Telematics EDR Engineer you will hold a degree in engineering or relevant discipline with solid experience of automotive engineering.
Must have knowledge of transportation EDR systems and telemetry/telecommunications and EMI standards.
Knowledge of accident characteristics and vehicle electronics would also be preferred.
