Our client provides a unique range of products and services to the insurance and motor repair industries. Primarily, conducting research and product data. This data assists in the efficient, safe and cost effective repair of motor vehicles. Working closely with vehicle manufacturers to influence the design of new vehicles, their aim is to improve safety and security.
They are now looking for a Track Engineer - Crash and Safety to understand, define and develop vehicle safety test procedures - liaising with international VM, tier one suppliers and research organisations along with authoring, undertaking and refining tests and protocols and updating test methodologies using new research data.

As the Track Engineer you will have:
Fundamental understanding of vehicle dynamics, stability systems and collision avoidance.
Fundamental understanding of vehicle safety test procedures
Vehicle test preparation
Instrumentation and data acquisition
Operation of driver control systems
Team coordination and direction
Data analysis and interpretation using dedicated vehicles dynamics software
Knowledge and adherence to Health and Safety procedures - authoring Risk Assessments
Briefing management on test results
Authoring test procedures and research documents
Dissemination of test results to external parties
Authoring Peer reviewable technical scientific material

As the Track Engineer you will hold a relevant degree in engineering ideally with an understanding of automotive engineering, vehicle safety knowledge and vehicle dynamics and chassis engineering.
